Evaluación y diagnóstico de los sistemas de abastecimiento de agua de los barrios El Salado-Llano grande, El Laurel, Tuburo-Valdivia, Subo-Galápagos, Palotine Alto y Bajo del cantón Quilanga, provincia de Loja

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis project is to conduct an assessment and diagnostic of the water systems that currently supply water to the rural districts of the Canton Quilanga, which is located in the province of Loja. This research can be applied to the conforming neighborhoods: El Salado, Llano Grande, El Laurel, Tuburo, Valdivia, El Subo, Galápagos, Palotine Alto and Bajo. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, several components are analyzed, such as the assessment of water systems, from which information is obtained regarding the conditions of each of the units that compose the systems and are currently operating. In addition, the quality of water at strategic points in the system is analyzed; and socio-economic surveys are implemented to the communities. Once all the information has been collected, the hydraulic assessment of adduction and distribution networks is performed by applying the open source software Epanet 2.0 vE. Projects like this constitute an important contribution that will serve to GAD-M of Quilanga as a pivotal point of support for local authorities to manage the improvement of water systems in the rural communities of Canton Quilanga.
