Evaluation of High Molecular Weight Paraffin Contamination in a Natural Gas Plant with Mechanical Refrigeration.

Abstract:

In the Santa Rosa liquid extraction from a natural gas plant with mechanical refrigeration, located in the eastern part of Venezuela, the deposition of paraffins of high molecular weight, in the facilities and main equipment of the complex, has created operational problems. The potential sources of contamination of the gas stream at 1200 psig sent to the liquid extraction process, and the critical sites where the contamination by paraffins of high molecular weight occur, are evaluated.
