Evaluation of power transformers Health Index using fuzzy logic and commonly used minimum variables


Abstract:

This paper proposes a fuzzy logic analysis model that allows assessing power transformers Health Index (HI), taking into account minimum variables that are commonly used in this kind of analysis. For each input variable, the membership degrees are defined according to expert criteria. It is started from a proposed model then a sensitivity analysis is carried out to verify how the system inputs omission affects Health Index. The results show that acidity and dissipation factor can be leaved out in a proposed system that considers six input variables, without affecting the calculated transformer health index, significantly.
