Evaluation of productive parameters of broilers Cobb 500 and Ross 308 in the Amazon region of Ecuador
Abstract:
Poultry production has been developed as an economic activity of great importance in Latin American countries. The research was conducted at the Centro de Investigación Posgrado y Conservación Amazónica, Poultry Program of the Universidad Estatal Amazónica, where it was assessed the productive performance of the broilers Cobb 500 and Ross 308, 100 chickens were used for each genetic line, applying a design completely to the randomized, with 10 repetitions. The experimental results were submitted to a comparison of averages Tukey (P< 0,05). It was determined that in the initial phase, the results showed highly significant differences (P< 0,05) between treatments, obtaining better results in weight gain (GP) 357,24 g; feed conversion (CV) of 1,12 for the treatment of hybrid Cobb 500 on the treatment of hybrid Ross 308. In the growth phase, the results showed highly significant differences (P< 0,05) getting superior results in GP of 835,15 g, CV 1,42 and final weight (PF) of 1234,70 g, for the treatment of Cobb 500, in the fattening stage, the results showed highly significant differences (P<0,05) to get the best results in GP with 1274 g, CV 1,59 and PF 2509,63 g, for the treatment of Cobb 500, indicates us that the genetic line in the commercial chicken of rapid growth significantly influences the productive behavior of the chickens, showing that the hybrid Cobb 500 has better productive yields and zootechnical in relation to the Ross 308 on the conditions of the Amazon Region Of Ecuador.
