Analytical calculation of the electrical parameters of a micro-coplanar stripline with a dielectric and a ground plane for the static case


Abstract:

The analytical calculation of some of the electrical parameters of a micro-coplanar stripline with a dielectric and a ground plane is presented for the static case. The device consists of a ground plane separated by a dielectric substrate of two conductive strips (tapes) of different lengths. One of the conductors as well as the ground plane are considered to be of infinite lengths. The analysis and synthesis of the device is the union of physical, mathematical and computational tools that allow the analysis and synthesis of thin film devices, which guarantees solutions of the exact analytical type. Three transformations based on the Schwarz-Christoffel mapping were carried out, finding a P transformation plane, where it is possible to find the analytical solution to the problem in question. One finds the characteristic impedance and capacitance for the case of approaching a typical microline.
