Evaluation of tourist development in Puyango Petrified Forest (PPF), south of Ecuador

Abstract:

The present research has as objective to evaluate the current and expected tourism development of the Puyango Petrified Forest (BPP). A documentary and exploratory review of the information of the territory was carried out, the research design was nonexperimental of the transectional type, and the data obtained were given descriptive statistical treatment. As a result, it is stated that this reserve is not taken advantage by the nearby communities because they are not involved by the authorities in the management of this resource.
