Evento cerebrovascular, factores de riesgo en pacientes atendidos en el Hospital Dr. Abel Gilbert Pontón período 2011- 2015

Abstract:

The cerebro-vascular events (ECV) are a great problem of health in Ecuador and worldwide. Since the incident in Ecuador goes in increase with the present work research we expect to obtain results that serve to generate preventive measures to diminish ECV's frequency. This study is realized by experimental, transverse retrospective, approach descriptive and indirect, based on the review of clinical histories and the database that provided the institution to us where the above mentioned study is realized. Between the obtained results we have: the most frequent factor of risk was the Arterial Hypertension that one found in 72,86 % of cases; the most frequent type of ECV was the ischemic with 64,29 %; the range of age where with major frequency it was between 60-69años of age with 26,19 %; the sex with major frequency was the feminine one with 54,29 %; the half-caste race was the most frequent with 54,76 %.
