Evolution of solar radiation in horizontal surface in Valencia: seasonal analysis; Evolucion de la irradiacion solar sobre superficie horizontal en Valencia: Analisis estacional

Abstract:

The seasonal variations in the diurnal evolution of the components of the solar radiation are described in detail, and based on these different parameters, are also analyzed the clearness index in addition to the diffuse fraction and the direct fraction. Valencia, in the interval of two years (2001-2002), was characterized approximately by the presence of 4,2 % of clear days. The annual evolution of the amplitude of the diurnal cycle of the radiometric parameters indicates a seasonal pattern with two characteristic periods. The seasonal variation of the radiometric parameters is influenced by the incidence of clear days throughout the year. In the last part of the study one is to fit to a model data of the temporary evolution of the components of the radiation for Valencia throughout a representative day every month and the year.
