Ancestry study in Ecuadorian population with multiple myeloma

Abstract:

Multiple myeloma (MM) is a type of hematologic cancer that mainly affects the afro-descendant population. Ecuador in a country with mestizo population: Native American, European and African. Ancestry informative insertion-deletion markers are used to determine if the Ecuadorian population with MM has a greater component of African ancestry compared to the Ecuadorian population without the disease.
