Expectativas de la familia indígena frente a la educación: análisis de caso en la comunidad San Pablo Urco, Parroquia Olmedo
Abstract:
The present investigation has as purpose to know the expectations of the indigenous family in front of the education in the Community of San Pablo Urco of the Olmedo parish of the Cayambe canton of the province of Pichincha, I have determined this subject as the economic and social situation that faces Today our country, you agree that education is a main element to get out of underdevelopment, indigenous families seek to guide children, youth and adults to complete professional academic training. These expectations of the indigenous families in the communities are tricked by many factors, such as: the accelerated advance of society, entrance tests to access a quota of higher education in an institution, the rejection of community education and not they value their language and reject their identity. The qualitative approach was used, since through this data was collected without numerical measurement to describe and affirm research questions that arose in the approach of the problem, in order to respond to the silver targets. Another of the research methods used was the ethnographic, which consists of identifying and knowing the beliefs, customs and traditions of the place investigated through active participation, not only as a seer but being part of the rituals, customs and traditions in the activities of the characters that are part of the community, thus documenting and understanding social phenomena or practices from the perspectives of its members in their cultural and social context where their beliefs, their form of expression, communication and ancestral decorations are respected. Good practice of their customs and thus strengthen their cultural and educational identity
