Exploring the keys to the success of crowdfunding campaigns in Ecuador
Abstract:
This document identifies the factors with the greatest impact on the success of collective financing campaigns in Ecuadorian crowdfunding platforms. Based on the available information of all the cases of the 4 platforms that currently operate in the country (98 campaigns) and using the implementation of a logit model as an econometric strategy, it was determined that fund acquisitions depend on the variables associated with marketing and of organizational type. The results showed that the variables inherent to the amount collected and number of sponsors are associated with the success of the campaigns. This paper opens the way to deepen the analysis of the key elements to increase the success of the campaigns in the platforms of fundraising on the web.
