Abstract:

This investigation addresses the need to establish a process to export carnations from Quito, Ecuador to Managua, Nicaragua using the logistic principles based on appropriate processes and procedures to minimize costs and delivery times. An analysis of Ecuadorian carnations’ attributes, uses, and advantages will be made to ensure that our product will comply with the requirements and demands of the country which we want to negotiate with. To do this, the strategy will be to negotiate with the lone exclusive producer of carnations in the country, Arbusta, as well as other companies that produce other types of flowers that includes the carnation. The goal is to give emphasize the quality of our product to the customer, as well to demonstrate our ability to comply with all established rules and regulations. To conclude, final recommendations are given to implement a processed to export carnations and thus achieve the goals.
