Extracción y caracterización química de aceites esenciales de cinco especies de Briófitas de la Región Sur del Ecuador


Abstract:

The chemistry of briophytas is a little known, so there is few studies related to this topic. In this investigation the extraction and chemical characterization of essential oils of five species of bryophytes of the Southern Region of Ecuador was performed. All five species were collected in the hills Tiro and Toledo, the essential oil was obtained by distillation by steam stripping, chemical composition was analyzed by gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrophotometry (CG/MS), the compounds identified were: in Frullania brasiliensis 44 compounds, Campylopus richardii 44 compounds, Macromitrium perreflexum 41 compounds, Leptodontium viticulosoides 50 compounds, Herbertus juniperinus 48 compounds. The main components were: T-muurolol (32.14%) in Frullania brasiliensis; T-muurolol (15,13%) in Campylopus richardii; Selina-3,11-dien-6α-ol (19,71%) in Macromitrium perreflexum; β-Selinene (13,52%); in Leptodontium viticulosoides: Bicyclogermacrene (18,23%) in Herbertus juniperinus.
