FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH LAWS, VIOLATION OF LABOR RIGHTS, AND THEIR POSSIBLE RELATIONSHIP TO THE INCREASE IN SUICIDES AND DEPRESSION

Abstract:

The properly structured social security system protects the population from contingencies and the needs derived from them, through various programs supported by Constitutional Laws. People who have been separated from their jobs due to restructuring after the pandemic need special attention by the corresponding Social Security agencies. The rights of people to work within our country are constitutionally protected, finding real violations that have been committed. The pandemic brought with it a wave of massive layoffs both in the public sector and in the private sector, causing life expectancy and lifestyle to be significantly reduced, affecting Good Living and what is stipulated by the regulations in force within Ecuador. Society has been affected by layoffs in a pandemic where, in one way or another, the rules were misinterpreted and ignored, leaving many families without a livelihood. There are various circumstances through which employers and the Government have sought to support their decision, but the one that stands out from the majority is the lack of resources to continue with job security, a situation that affected families in Ecuador. In the present study, surveys were applied, processed by the Iadov method, and for the possible solutions proposed, the AHP method was used.
