Facial Recognition System with Liveness Detection Integrated into Odoo for Attendance Registration in a Software Laboratory

Abstract:

Facial recognition is currently adaptable to any context where the identification of individuals is required and has succeeded in replacing traditional form-filling authentication methods. Moreover, due to the current Covid-19 health crisis, face recognition turns out to be one of the main technologies useful for authentication without requiring the manipulation of community instruments. This paper presents the development of a facial recognition system with liveness detection integrated into Odoo ERP for the registration of attendance to a software laboratory, providing an alternative attendance registration that does not require the manipulation of community use instruments, shortening registration times and facilitating the creation of reports of laboratory use.
