Factores de riesgo asociados al trabajo de parto pretérmino en el Hospital Alfredo Noboa Montenegro, Guaranda, período de agosto del 2016 a agosto del 2017
Abstract:
According to OMS, is the labor that occurs after 20 weeks and before 37 completed weeks accompanied by uterine contractions with a frequency of 1 in 10 minutes, 30 seconds long with effacement of 50% and an equal expansion or less than 3 cm. In the USA the incidence is 11%, while in Europe varies between 5 and 7%. In Colombia according to different authors is between 8 and 12%. Despite advances in obstetric care this incidence has not declined in recent years, and unlike in some countries the trend is to increase, appearing as the cause of death in 60-80% of newborns without malformations. The objective of this research is intended to serve as a tool to support decision making to the pregnant woman at risk or diagnosed with preterm labor threat to doctors who are responsible for the care and attention of pregnant women in order to avoid prematurity and its complications. Includes incidence, key risk factors associated with this disease. The material and methods are retrospective, descriptive and analytical, not experimental. Statistics are based by patients admitted to the area hospital with a diagnosis of preterm delivery in specified period. This study consisted of a total of 180 pregnant patients, of the population of patients with preterm birth 65% corresponds to rural women, 52% of the patients attended less than 3 controls during their pregnancy, when they presented childbirth Preterm children had a gestation period of 33-34 weeks, represented with 46%, while 38% reflected their level of education that does not exceed the secondary level. Preterm birth occurred in pregnant women with an age younger than 20 years represented with 44%, urinary tract infection (UTI) was the most frequent pathology in patients with 47% and preeclampsia was the obstetric pathology with greater incidence in 48% in this study group
