Abstract:

Introduction: Pediatric kidney transplant is the treatment of choice for ESRD with widely proven advantages over dialytic treatments. Objective: Determine the risk factors related to the graft and patient survival in the pediatric renal transplant treated at the Metropolitan Hospital in Quito - Ecuador from January 1st of 2010 to June 30th of 2013. Materials and Methods: Data was collected using the SPSS version 20, obtained from medical records of the Statistic Department and Transplant Unit from the Metropolitan Hospital of Quito. It is a historical study of court. It is used percentages for the analysis of qualitative variables, and mean standard deviation for the quantitative variables.
