Factores de riesgo de bronconeumonía connatal en pacientes atendidos en el Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso, Cuenca 2008
Abstract:
Objective. To determine the factors of risk of conative bronchopneumonia in new born taken care of in the Hospital Vicente Moscoso Corral, of the city of River basin during year 2008. Materials and method. With a longitudinal analytical design a retrospective study was realised, of cases and controls, including a sample of 63 cases and 252 controls, applying Odds Ratio in tables of 2x2, with confidence intervals of 95%; investigating maternal factors of risk: membrane age, premature failure, distócico childbirth, sepsis to ovulate, vaginal infection in the third trimester and prolonged childbirth, and 3 neonatal ones: childbirth preterm, weight of new born and score Wood - Downes. Results. In a logistic regression analisys was significant association of the connatal bronchopneumonia with: sepsis to ovulate (OR: 17,09, IC95%: 1,52 - 192.53), distócico childbirth (OR: 3,62, IC95%: 1,31 - 9.98) and vaginal infection of the third trimester, (OR: 2,78, IC95%: 1,01 - 7.65). The association was not significant with: membrane breakage (OR: 2,01, IC95%: 0,67 - 192.53), age of mother (OR: 1,91, IC95%: 0,70 - 5.21) and weight when being born (OR: 1,60, IC95%: 0,60 - 4.24). There was no association with: age when being born (OR: 0,88, IC95%: 0,32 - 2.38), sex of neoborn (the OR: 0,87, IC95%: 0,32 - 2.34), prolonged childbirth (OR: 0,69, IC95%: 0,26 - 1.86). Analyzed separately, score Downes of 4 a7 was significant association (OR: 3,5, IC95%: 1,3 - 9.5). Implications. In the appearance of the connatal bronchopneumonia they constituted main factors of risk: low weight when being born, sepsis to ovulate, vaginal infection of the third trimester, distócico childbirth, masculine sex, score greater Downes of 3, and birth preterm
