Factores de riesgo de la enfermedad venosa crónica en menores de 40 años, realizado en el Servicio de Angiologia y Cirugía Vascular del Hospital Luis Vernaza, durante el período de enero a diciembre del 2014
Abstract:
The chronic venous disease (EVC), makes reference to all venous damage of the inferior members that progresses slowly and gradually, frequently associated to insufficiency of the venous trunks, tributary and armor-piercing veins (Vpes), causes varices. Who suffer it present/display, in advanced stages signs and symptoms that can be disabling, influencing the quality of life.In our means do not exist studies epidemiologists who demonstrate to the incidence and prevalence of the same one, by such reason the intention for this work is to demonstrate to the reality of the pathology in our country, investigating the more frequent factors of risk, specially in the young group, demonstrating that the chronic venous disease appears so much in young people as in greater adults.The present work was developed in the service of vascular surgery of the Hospital Luis Vernaza of the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador. From 2331 patients who went to the external consultation and hospitalizationof this hospital, a sample is taken in which 173 patients participated, 145 men and 28 women between 15 and 40 years, evaluating clinical histories of year 2014.This study concludes by valuing strategies (socialization of the information and the joint work with other services) and treatments that can be useful in the prevention of the venous disease, improving therefore the quality of life of the population in general.Objectives:·To determine the chronic venous disease risk factors in people under 40 years of age.·To identify the main chronic venous disease risk factor in period 2014.·To measure the frequency of chronic venous disease in people under 40 years of age, in period 2014.·To evaluate the relation of the chronic venous disease presence between the two genders.
