Factores pbkp_redictivos de transformación hemorrágica en pacientes con enfermedad cerebrovascular isquémico no lacunar
Abstract:
Background: Hemorrhagic transformation is a phenomenon in which ischemic brain tissue bleeds as a result of various pathophysiological mechanisms involved. This process may or may not be associated with a deterioration of the initial neurological state. Objective: To determine the pbkp_redictive factors of hemorrhagic transformation in patients with non-lacunar ischemic cerebrovascular disease. Methodology: An observational, descriptive, qualitative, quantitative, retrospective and cross-sectional. Non-experimental design, with a sample of 38 patients, the same that was carried out in the Neurology service, hospitalization area of the Guayaquil Specialties Hospital “Dr. Abel Gilbert Pontón” in a period between January 1 to December 31, 2019. Results: It was obtained that the predominant age range was between 71 to 77 years, without gender pbkp_redilection and whose pbkp_redictive factors were arterial hypertension in 89 , 5% (n = 34), previous use of anticoagulants 68.4% (n = 26); use of statins 78.9% (n = 30); the mortality rate was 30 patients and, according to the TOAST classification, 21 were of atherothrombotic origin, with 13 cases affecting the right middle arterial circulation and with a predominance of the extension of the infarct area ≤ 2/3 of the arterial territory. Conclusion: Therefore, it was concluded that it is important to identify the clinical pbkp_redictors in patients with non-lacunar ischemic cerebrovascular disease that presented hemorrhagic transformation for therapeutic decision-making and thus be able to reduce this complication.
