Factores pbkp_redisponentes y desencadenantes de ideas y conductas suicidas en pacientes con trastornos psicóticos estudio realizado en el Instituto de Neurociencias, período 2015
Abstract:
Based on that psychiatric diseases are common in Ecuador, and are frequently related with suicide it’s necessary determinate which are the factors that influence this desire and determination to kill themselves, that’s why were studied, in a sample of 280 patients at the Institute of Neuroscience who went there for the first time and which were diagnosed with a psychotic disorder (schizophrenia or acute psychotic disorder) who presented suicide ideas or behaviors, the pbkp_redisposing and precipitating factors that influenced them to take this decision. Pbkp_redisposing factors studied were the family and social environment, unemployment as economic factor and a personal and family history of suicide, and the precipitating factors studied were the pathology psychotic symptoms, in addition to other variables such as divorce, the consumption of toxic and non-compliance therapeutic; all which were evaluated through the medical histories of patients in the sample. Socio-demographic factors were also tabulated, as age, sex and marital status. In addition to a study on the methods used to carry out the suicide attempt. Conclusive results about the most common factors were obtained from all this, being the pbkp_redisposing the highest percentage was lack of support family 40% and 33% social isolation; of the precipitating factors the higher percentage was 52% depressive symptoms and auditory hallucinations (voices command) 23%; the other variables studied determine the profile of the patient psychotic suicide young 45%, male 56% and 76% unmarried male. The most common suicide methods were taking sleeping pills medications with 42% and hanging 40%.
