Factores que inciden en el aprendizaje idioma ingles en los estudiantes de la carrera de Comunicación Social

Abstract:

The results found in this study were got in a research conducted to students who are in the eighth semester of Journalism career in the Technical University of Babahoyo. The main goal in this project was to analyze the factors that influence the English learning process in the students of the Journalism career. The methodology applied was descriptive and qualitative with the implementation of a survey to the eighth semester students to get the data and to analyze which factors influence this process. The findings showed that not only the academic aspect is a determinant aspect to be considered in the English Teaching-learning process, but the affective, social and technological factors influence the acquisition of a new language like English. The results showed that the academic aspects should be improved with the use of an assortment of strategies to upgrade the learning environment with activities which increase the level of motivation and participation in the students. The social aspects should be taken into account because they influence the students ‘predisposition to study English since it is considered very difficult. On the other hand, the resources applied by the teacher in class should include much more technology due to the fact that students need to be updated with the use of different types of applications and programs which would help them to increase the English level, the same as to make an autonomous practice easier and motivating at home
