Antena multihaz con lente de Rotman para el seguimiento del Picosatélite del proyecto POLITECH.

Abstract:

POLITECH. 1 is a research program of Universitat Politècnica de València which aim is the development and launch into orbit of a Cubesat class spacecraft. In this paper, a concise orbital analysis is presented to characterize the type of orbit in which should be placed the Politech. 1, as well as a study of minimum visibility time in order to contact the satellite and transfer the interesting data. Also a multibeam antenna using a Rotman lens has been proposed to be integrated in the terrestrial tracking system. The system must cover completely the axis running east to west and only must use one positioner to cover the axis running north to south. This simplifies the design, minimizing the use of moving parts. Rotman lenses with scanning angles of 30 and 60 degrees have been designed and simulated using waveguide and microstrip technology, the results satisfied the design specifications proving their correct design.
