Factors associated with humanized treatment in hospitalized patients


Abstract:

Introduction: The nursing professional must have a generalist, humanistic, critical and reflective training; since it is a discipline that has as a priority the attention to the person. Objective: To determine the factors associated with the humane treatment of hospitalized patients at the Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital. Materials and methods: Quantitative study of correlational scope, carried out with a sample of 250 patients admitted to the Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital, the instruments were applied: Perception of humanized nursing care version 3 and the Perroca scale to measure the patient’s condition. Results: The findings show that 41.6% of patients always perceive humanized care from the nursing staff and, to a lesser extent, 3.2% never perceive humanized treatment from the nursing staff. Conclusion: The factors that are associated with the humanized treatment statistically were the level of primary education, monthly income less than the basic salary and the area of hospitalization for surgery.
