Feasibility study for the implementation of a tire retreading plant in the southern region of Ecuador

Abstract:

We evaluated the technical and economic feasibility of implementing a tire retreading plant in Santa Rosa - El Oro in 2017, which will allow the Santarroseña industry to be encouraged with new manufacturing products, through the reuse of rubber waste, which will help the economic development of the country and, above all, the protection of the environment. For the study, the income and expenses, cash flows, net present value (NPV), break-even point and a sensitivity analysis were determined and the project's engineering was determined. The results showed that when analyzing the internal rate of return and the net present value it is established that in the normal case the yields are obtained as $ 78,240.12 obtaining a positive NPV, which allows to determine that the implementation of the plant rencauchadora is viable.
