Abstract:

Tourism is not separation of the provision of services hotel’s, the city of Cuenca is not a exception, in the beginning with the organization of hotels, providing basics needs to the traders. However, it is from this factor that starts a type of tourism very rudimentary, basically joint to provide to the basic accommodation. This article is an integrator of the early work of activity in Cuenca, Ecuador; in the present work show the beginning of the activity in the 20th century, for the study has been taken available bibliographical sources and also the primary sources of the same actors who have worked in hospitality in the starting.
