First demonstration of monolithically integrated dual output DEML for full-duplex UDWDM-PON ONU

Abstract:

Dual output DEML based ONU for 'A-to-the-user' ultra-dense access network is demonstrated. 2.5Gb/s for each user with 5GHz channel spaced between uplink and downlink for UDWDM is presented. Bidirectional DPSK-ASK transmission with low-footprint, monolithically integrated DEML at ONU is tested.
