Forecasting weather-impacted airport capacities for flow contingency management: Advanced methods and integration

Abstract:

Motivated by needs in strategic traffic flow management, we study the problem of forecasting Airport Arrival Rates (AAR) over a full-day time horizon. We present a multinomial logistic regression based methodology for pbkp_redicting AAR classifications that can be applied to any airport. We pursue case studies of two airports to demonstrate our methodology. © 2013 The MITRE Corporation. All Rights Reserved.
