Four-Cell Flying Capacitor Multilevel Converter

Abstract:

This article designs, simulates, and implements a four-cell flying capacitor multilevel converter prototype fed by 200V. Furthermore, the output filter is designed. The simulation and experimental results are developed, testing with output voltages of 24 V, 72 V, and output currents of 6 A and 3.5 A, respectively, disturbing the input voltage, changing the load, and changing the duty cycle during operation, obtaining interesting results analyzing its Fourier components. Finally, conclusions are described.
