Frecuencia de cáncer cervicouterino en mujeres de 20 – 40 años atendidas en la consulta externa en un hospital en la ciudad de Guayaquil 2021.

Abstract:

Cervical cancer or carcinoma defined as a neoplasm with a malignant classification that has its origin in the area of the cervical epithelium. In the Teodoro Maldonado Carbo hospital there is a literary vacuum about the behavior of cervical cancer in women aged 20 to 40 years, this is due to the fact that there is not a large population of women with this pathology, however, this does not exempt its importance to be able to understand what are the sociodemographic characteristics, clinical manifestations and most common types of cancer in the population of interest. This research provides data on the behavior of the disease in young women in order to have information that provides correct medical advice to patients. Objective: To determine the frequency of cervical cancer in women aged 20-40 years treated in the outpatient clinic of a hospital in the city of Guayaquil 2021. Methodology: Level: Descriptive; Method: Quantitative; Retrospective; Design: Cross. Technique: Indirect observation. Instrument: Data collection matrix. Population: 46 women between 20 and 40 years old. Conclusion: in the sociodemographic characteristics; it was presented that the majority of women were between 31 and 40 years old (93.5%) were mestizos (93.5%), with secondary education (76.1%), housewives (67.4%) and came from the province of the urban area (78.3%). In relation to the Symptomatology; dyspareunia with 84.3%, and the types of cancer that presented was the malignant tumor of the exocervix with 82.6%. Results: we have: that the cancer that presented the highest frequency was the malignant tumor of the exocervix with the symptoms of dyspareunia.
