Frecuencia de linfoma no hodgkin en niños y adolescentes atendidos en la consulta externa del hospital SOLCA.


Abstract:

Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma refers to cancer at the lymph node level, common in children and adolescents. A study on the frequency of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is carried out. Objective: To analyze the frequency of non-hodgkins lymphoma. Research design: quantitative, descriptive, retrospective, cross sectional. Technique: Indirect observation. Instrument: Indirect observation matrix. Results: Population: 80 subjects between boys, girls and adolescents Characteristics: age: 0-5 years 1.1%; 6-11 years 16.20%; 12-17 years old 25.31%; 17-22 years 38.48%. Gender: Men 43.54%; Woman 37.46%. Ethnicity: white 2.2%; blacks 3.4%; mestizo 72.90%; indigenous 1.1%. Place of residence: urban area 18.22%; rural area 4.5%; urban-marginal area 23.29%; outside the city 35.44%. Family history: yes, 34.42%; no, 46.58%. Degree of consanguinity by family history: Mother 17.48%; Father 15.43%; Sibling 1.3%; Aunt 2.6%. Personal history: yes 25.31%, no 55.69%. Organic conditions by AP: Weakened immune system 21.84%; Organ transplant 2.8%; HIV/AIDS 2.8%; Radiation exposure 0%; Epstein-Barr virus infection 0%. Histological subtypes: Burkitt lymphoma 6.25%; Anaplastic large cell (T) lymphoma 27.56%; Diffuse large (B) cell lymphoma 66.25%. Clinical manifestations: with adenopathies 97.47%, without adenopathies 2.53%; fever 82.50%, afebrile 17.50%; mediastinal mass 66.25% and without mass 33.75%; cough 46.25% and without cough 53.75%; dyspnea 50% and without dyspnea 50%; fatigue 82.50% and without fatigue 17.50%; night sweats 51.25% and no sweats 48.75%; weight loss 97.50% and no loss 2.50%. Conclusion: it was determined that the NHL is still active in the children and adolescents with 33.33% of the indicator on average.
