From scalable Concept Maps to scalable Open Student Models

Abstract:

This paper presents the mechanisms implemented in a Concept Mapping editor to deal with scalability when drawing and inspecting Concept Maps (CMs) in order to ensure that big CMs are efficient and practical graphical representation medium. These scalability mechanisms have been applied to real Concept Mapping situations, concretely Open Student Models and Open Group Models.
