From the reformist approach to human capacities to the critical latin american philosophical and sumak kawsay: Dialogues and disagreements2

Abstract:

The Great Philosophical Systems reflect on the conditions necessary to dignify the human condition. Among them is Martha Nussbaum’s approach to human capacities and the counter-hegemonic Latin American philosophy, which have contributed the most in this regard. Ancestral knowledge, such as Sumak Kawsay, has also contributed to this task. The objective of this article is to discuss the most prominent arguments of these three philosophical positions in relation to what “good living” means. Methodologically supported by triangulation and the hermeneutical circle to identify their affinities, differences, and silences.
