Functional gastrointestinal disorders in latinoamerican infants and toddlers. Working group of the latin american society of pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition (LASPGHAN)
Abstract:
A couple of publications have been described in Latin American countries (LATAM) such as Colombia, Panama, Ecuador and Nicaragua related to functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs) in infants and toddlers: their prevalence in Colombian children and the concordance between the Bristol Stool Scale and the Questionnaire for Pediatric Gastrointestinal Symptomsof the Rome Criteria III (QPGS-RIII) to identify stool consistency. The present paper describes the experience of the FINDERS Group (Functional International Digestive Epidemiological Research Survey Group) in infants and toddlers LATAM with FGIDs.
