Future trends in tourism innovation

Abstract:

The future trends related to tourism innovation will involve creativity, technology and sustainability. This book has analysed tourism innovation from an interdisciplinary perspective thereby contributing to the growth of the field. The aim of this conclusion chapter is to focus on understanding future research trends that will further contribute to the tourism innovation field. This includes focusing on consumer participation but also value co-creation in tourism experiences. Suggestions for future research are stated together with policy implications.
