Fuzzy and ahp application in ecuadorian case of humanitarian logistics

Abstract:

The aim of this research is to propose a Decision Support System (DSS) through the integration of the Hierarchical Network Process (AHP) and fuzzy logic for the selection of the general collection center and the parish collection centers when disasters naturally happen, focusing as a case study the city of Ambato in Ecuador. This study uses the AHP-Fuzzy method to assess the opinions of the decision-makers or actors among the established alternatives and criteria to define the most appropriate location. The importance of coordinating and selecting the safe areas to establish the collection centers is also empirically demonstrated.
