Fuzzy logic control of a combined-cycle power plant using biomass


Abstract:

The concept of a new simple neuro-fuzzy control scheme for a combined-cycle power plant is presented. A simplified model for a heat recovery steam generator and for its downstream steam turbine is developed. Gasification technologies under development would enable the residual biomass to be used in gas turbines. Biomass conversion to a clean essentially ash-free form, usually by gasification and purification, is necessary to obtain high efficiency.
