Fuzzy model usage and readability in identification for control
Abstract:
Fuzzy modelling has interpretability of the obtained models as a fundamental goal. The ""local model" paradigm has gained widespread acceptance, in particular the local linear models, mainly in the form of Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy systems. This paper discusses some issues regarding readability of the obtained models and points out the limitations in applicability of some control design techniques based on them, even if ensuring "global stability" from a theoretical point of view.
