GENERAL THEORY OF EXERGY SAVING: III. ENERGY SAVING AND THERMOECONOMICS.

Abstract:

We have examined the general principles of the exergetic and thermoeconomic accounting for systems. With these, the bases are laid here for energy saving and optimization in systems. The relation between fuel saving and the destroyed exergy which is recovered and, the relation between the economic savings in the final product and the investment made and the destroyed exergy which is recovered are examined. From this, a Law of Savings-Investment is postulated which relates the investment made with the fuel savings achieved. The solutions for the optimization processes can be ranked in order of priority. For this purpose, a ranking criterion is given whose vector sum again gives an aspect of the Law of Savings-Investment. Since the analysis carried out here is general and there is no limit to the system size, aggregation level, etc. , we believe that the ideas expressed here can be a way for energy saving.
