Gamification proposal for a software engineering risk management course


Abstract:

Risk Management Software Engineering is a discipline that deals with the identification and analysis of risks that may occur during the development of a software project. A Risk Management course currently is part of the Master of Software Engineering in Ecuadorian Army University (ESPE) in Latacunga, it is offered in a traditional way with a theoretical approach based on case studies. In order to increase student motivation has proposed the use of gamification techniques in dictating the course, which consists of strategies game unplayable environments, which has been raised based on the syllabus outline the subject and in the framework 6D Werbach and an outline of the proposal on two levels for the risk identification and analysis in the process of software development.
