Gamma rays and carbon ion-beams irradiation for mutation induction to breed banana (Musa spp.), especially on response to Black Sigatoka Disease
Abstract:
Banana (Musa spp.) is a worldwide extended crop growing in most of the countries located especially in the tropical and subtropical areas. FAO (2006) reported that the banana world export in 2004 was more than 15 million tones equivalent to more than $5 billion dollars.
