Generación de la ventaja competitiva a través de inversión pública en el sector turismo.


Abstract:

In Tungurahua Province, tourism is one of the main activities within the economy, but the competitive advantage through public investment does not allow the development of activities within the sector, for this the general objective of this project is to determine the level of generation of competitive advantage through public investment in the tourism sector, in such a way that it is determined at what level the investment by the State is generating a competitive advantage. The research is focused on the companies that are located around the sector with a focus on the impact of the works and services carried out through public investment, the research was carried out based on a critical social epistemological approach, providing quantitative data that were obtained through the Research in database and application of a survey applied to a sample of 309 companies within the province. Within the information collected we can highlight aspects such as the companies surveyed dedicated to tourism with 39% almost always use the natural resources that the place has to carry out their tourism activities, in terms of training 36% of companies surveyed assure that they have little training for the performance of activities, 36% affirm that public safety is intermediate because security is strengthened in certain areas and in others security is at an intermediate level, on the other hand 40% of respondents they assure that they never recommend the public health service due to the new regulations of waiting time and type of urgency, which causes discomfort to the tourists. Through data collection it was identified that the competitive advantage through public investment is at a medium level because the amount allocated to investment for the tourism sector has not been distributed in all the necessary areas that complement the tourist service.
