Green business ideas, a contribution to sustainable development

Abstract:

The purpose of the study is to address the problem of contamination by the use of plastic covers from the field of entrepreneurship. In a scenario of generalized contamination, the interest of microentrepreneurs in substituting pollutants for environmentally friendly products, the concern of product applicants to make environmentally conscious purchases, as well as the interest of young university students in raising ideas of local businesses that allow reducing pollution levels and contribute with green jobs in the city of Ibarra. The research is oriented under the qualitative, descriptive, transactional field paradigm. The results obtained indicate that some microentrepreneurs who own clothing and footwear stores in the city of Ibarra give it a relative importance to care for the environment and a biodegradable product is not yet valued as a replacement for plastic covers. However, there is the pbkp_redisposition of a part of the micro-entrepreneurs that allows establishing a sufficient demand for the business proposal of creation and sale of these products based on natural fibers.
