Growth and reproductive traits in buffalo females (Bubalis bubalus) at the Livestock Enterprise of Camagüey, Cuba
Abstract:
The work was carried out in the UEB Delirium of the Livestock Enterprise of Camagüey, Cuba in eight dairies, with records of 1434 births of river buffalo, between the years of 2008 to 2014, with the objective of evaluating the non-genetic factors in the Traits of growth to incorporation and reproductive in females buzzards. All data were processed by the SPSS (2015) statistical package. For the growth traits at incorporation the results obtained were: PV (377.8 ± 1.6 kg), EI (26.8 ± 1.5 months) and PPE (507.7 ± 3.2 g/day) And for reproductive traits: PPE (37.9 ± 0.9 months) and PPI (382.2 ± 3.9 days). It was obtained that the effect of the herd, time and year of birth significantly influenced (p <0.01) for the traits of growth to the incorporation and the age at the first calving, but not the number of calving. In the labor - delivery interval, the effect of the herd, number of deliveries, time and year of labor, significantly affected (p <0.01), did not affect the sex of the offspring.
