Growth and survival of Clarias gariepinus fingerlings with the inclusion of Azolla in diet
Abstract:
The Azolla sp., it is not of universal use in the animal, but well used feeding it can become an important element in the sustainable systems of production acuícola, by virtue of their low cost. The present work was developed in the Station Acuipaso, county of Granma, Cuba, with the objective of evaluating the effect of the inclusion (0, 6; 12 and 18%) of flour of Azolla (there is) in diet on the biological answer of the fish African cat (Clarias gariepinus) in the second stage. A design was used totally randomized with four treatments and same number of replicas; for they were distributed it 15 animals/cages. The evaluated variables were the survival, weight and their increment, half gain, carves final and daily, and factor of nutritious conversion. To the obtained data he/she was carried out an analysis of variance of simple classification with the multiple test of stockings Tukey. After 47 days of the experiment, he/she was significant difference (p <0,05) among the groups, those where he/she was included 0 and 6% it was reached 33,95 and 32,92 g in final weight with 1,15 and 1,07 of conversion factor respectively, the lowest values were possible significantly when applying the 18. You concluded that the juvenile ones with the first inclusion of the plant in diet were developed quicker than the organisms with higher dose, under the experimental conditions settled down in this study.
