Guía de implementación de un prototipo para un sistema de iluminación pública aislado de red, alimentado por una fuente de energía híbrida fotovoltaica – eólica en parroquias rurales del Distrito Metropolitano de Quito


Abstract:

Nowadays the usage of renewable energy (Solar-Eolic) as an alternative energy source for off the grid systems of public illumination, has become more popular and common, this is due to renewable energy´s efficiency, performance and (kWh) low-cost, allowing to consider these solutions as more attractive to illuminate a public space. Considering that in the city of Quito there are no touristic public spaces which have been deployed this type of autonomous lighting systems, I have elaborated a guide of implementation for an off the grid systems of public illumination prototype, which is powered up for an Hybrid Photovoltaic- Eolic energy source that will give the ability to charge public space´s visitor´s portable devices (cellphone, smartphones, tablets, etc). This implementation guide was developed at “El Panecillo”, but I will clarify that it may be suitable for any public spaces either rural or urban areas in Quito. These are some of the advantages that this prototype offers some others have been detailed in this guide as well, economic benefit that promises saving to the long-term, it is sustainable and environmentally friendly due to its insignificant carbon radiation, social benefit that will bring more acceptance for the touristic public spaces.
