HOW TO OPERATE A BUSINESS HOLDING-APPLICABILITY APPROACH WITHIN FAMILY COMPANIES

Abstract:

In some instance, families over time increase their patrimony, and in specific situation this is reflected in companies; therefore, its administration, from an individual perspective, creates inefficiency as time passes. Consequently, it is necessary to search and propose a centralized management design, so that the ownership of all companies is located in one place. In this way and with a unified corporate structure, a greater benefit can be obtained by the companies seen as a single economic agent; especially when talking about a group of family businesses. The aim of this work is to design a mechanism that enables to join all the companies of a family group within a sole entity, which will be called Holding; so that effective management can be achieved and the family business patrimony can be protected for the current generation as well as for the future generations.
