Happiness and subjective well-being: determinant factors
Abstract:
The studies on happiness and well-being are addressed with much interest by academic researchers and Governments, under the premise that happy people generates happy Nations and organizations. Thus, the objective of the present study is to identify the determinant factors of happiness and the subjective well-being of the individual. For this purpose, we reviewed 51 theoretical and empirical papers. The study presents a picture that describes the determinant factors of happiness and subjective well-being grouped according to the classification of Garcia-Martin (2002). In the same way, it presents another picture with the determinant factors of happiness and subjective well-being that relates to the needs of Maslow (1943).
