Historic buildings: Subdivisions and urban-architectural affectations

Abstract:

The historic center of Loja-Ecuador has had multiple transformations since its configuration in the sixteenth century. Natural catastrophes that occurred in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, the implementation of the regulatory plan in 1960 and the concentration of commercial and administrative activities have given way to subdivisions of land of religious congregations considered of high historical value. The analysis of these subdivisions will allow to diagnose and propose solutions to each urban site.
