Host chromatin proteins towards increasing susceptibility to agrobacterium mediated genetic transformation
Abstract:
Agrobacterium mediated genetic transformation is a dominant technology used for the production of genetically modified plants. Extensive research has been performed with the aiming of understanding the role of host proteins specially chromatin proteins in genetic transformation. Considering the grate interest in the exploitation of this technology for improving transformation efficiency, we will describe here the research progress of plant transformation with respect to manipulation of chromatin proteins as potential insight for increasing transformation efficiency in plants. © 2012 University of Bucharest.
